The project envisaged the expansion of the existing round market building with the reconstruction of the Soviet modernist building and breathing new life into it. A gallery with retail outlets was added along the perimeter of the first floor, utility and storage rooms were located in a vast basement, and the highlight of the interior was the bright yellow painted ceiling of the building – the underside of the cable-stayed parabolic roof with stiffeners. A distinctive feature of the construction of the walls of the building is reinforced concrete triangular frame blocks that create an unusual pattern on the facade.
